Why would the Project Server need access to the internet?

I will get a "failed to get language" error 6058, which I believe may be
related...

Without access to the internet, the queue service won't run. Why? I
don't know, but I do know that the queue service won't run unless you
grant Project Server access to the internet.

hey Mark, thanks for the reply!

Yes, I figured that out... the hard way. Anyone who's wondering, if your
queue service won't start and your organization is using a proxy, configure
the proxy on the Project application machine.

I was wondering why, though... Or is it one of those forbidden questions not
to be asked ...!

I forgot to mention the Proxy Part - we just had to do that with a
remote install. As far as why the application (as opposed to the UI)
needs internet access, that's one of life's mysteries at the moment.
