Project Server and Exchange integration

Hi,

I, like a lot of people it would seem, am interested in knowing more
about the levels of integration between Exchange and Project Server.

Is it possible to have company calendars and users calendars (and
possibly task lists) taken in to account when planning a project ? It
would seem to make sense to me to have Project aware of USERA having a
meeting penciled in to his Calendar in Exchange, or being able to see
project tasks in his task list in Outlook.

Is this all possible ?

Are there any good sources of info on the integration between Project
Server and Exchange Server ?

Hi Olly,

There is no direct integration with the Exchange Free/Busy data for each
user and the Outlook Add-in for PWA. But that would be a very cool
tool/connector!

However if the user has their default Outlook profile set for an
Exchange mailbox account, then when the Outlook Add-in for PWA is
installed it would add the project tasks in their calendar (which is
located located on the Exchange server). Then these tasks would be taken
into consideration for Exchange Free/Busy data

So essentially you're working this in reverse. From Project Tasks to
Outlook to Exchange Server to Free/Busy data. Does that make sense?

Let me know...

THanks Rolly,

Great shame, that kind of functionality would be superb. Perhaps in
Project Server 2007 :)
