Project Server and SharePoint 2007

I am a MOSS admin and have been tasked with adding Project server 2007. In
testing I have added the project software.

It seems like you are required to have all your projects live in one central
sharepoint site collection. Are you not able to add the project features to
existing site collections? I'd like each group to have and track their own
projects using their existing site collections.

Any guidance would be helpful.

Thanks

This is not a good idea because Project Server automatically manages
permissions in this site collection. I suggest that you simply knit them
together using Navigational enhancements. You might also consider firing up
a new server for Project Server creating a new farm leveraging the Shared
SQL environment.
