Project Server and SQL report....

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand the Database of Project server 2007...

Is there any white paper??

For example, what tables in SQL can I tap into to create some custom
reports using 3rd party software????

Any suggestion to increase my knokledge into the SQL sde of Project
Server?

Thanks

Cheers

I found the reporting database to be very straight-forward and descriptive.
The pre-defined views are excellent. The published and active -databases are
much more cryptic, but for at least 90% of my reporting needs the reporting
database has been sufficient and I'm doing quite extensive custom reporting
through MS Reporting Services.

One main area the Reporting Database does not have available is the Local
Custom fields developed within each project. These can be moved
programmatically to a custom table in the RDB and then use SQL Reporting
Services to create reports.
