We have two recreatable symptoms:
1) Pop-up Error Message for a particular Project Manager
When he tries to correct the entry in Web Access and presses [Update
All], he gets this error message: "There is a problem updating some of
the task information because of conflicts with the project server
database. Contact the system administrator about these tasks. Some
actuals on tasks were not updated."
No one else is reporting this, what should we try?
2) Locked-up client when "Republish Assignments"
One thing we tried to do to correct the above problem (found using
Google) was to adjust the actuals as follows:
- Open the Administrative Time Log schedule
- Find the specific project manager's Work and Actuals for the
particular task
- Delete the actuals
- Republish just this task for the specific project manager
At this point, MS Project client on my system seems to lock up. I left
it for about 2 hours at one point before I finally killed it. My CPU
is pegged during this time, but there appears to be no activity on the
MS Project Server (according to our DBA).
We have been using this Administrative task for a number of years, so
there are MANY actuals for this task. I don't know if that is a
problem or not.
Thanks in advance for any help.
