Hello All,
I am apparently one of many who are having difficulties with the
configuration of the Project Server Gateway within Portfolio Server 2007. I
have Portfolio Server and Project Server installed on separate machines
belonging to the same WorkGroup. My Project Server Definition configuration
in Portfolio Server is as follows:
Authentication type: Windows integrated authentication
Project Server Web Service URL: http://<servername>:56737/SharedServices1/PSI
Project Web Access URL: http://<servername>/pwa
I have tried the Web Service URL with and without the PSI at the end.
Neither works. I have tried setting up a new user with full permissions and I
get the error "Authentication data undefined for specified Project Server and
current user". When I try using my own credentials I get the infamous message
"The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized".
Is there anyone out there that has been through this problem and
successfully solved it? If so, could you please provide me with a checklist
of things to look at and try? I would very much appreciate any
help/suggestions you might have to offer.
Thanks much!
