Project Server in mutliple locations connected via high latency VP

We are planning to use MS Project Server where the bulk of users will be in
our main office and a smaller number of users will be in two remote offices.
The two remote offices are connected via a VPN connection with high latency.

In total we have about 15 project manager where each remote office has a 1
or 2 project managers. In total we have about 140 team members/ WPA users
where each remote office has about 15 PWA users.

Does anyone have experience in a similar setup?

Does Project Server or SQL Server support some sort of replication where
each site has it's own server and local databases which are synchronised at
for example daily basis?

Would a solution like Terminal Services work when there is high latency?

Any other recommendation/ alternative is welcome!

Thanks,
Abko Wijma
