Project Server install on a VMware server

Mel Riser

I have installed Project Server and Sharepoint WSS several times on
standalone servers, but this time I am installing on a VMware server in an
Active Directory Domain.

Once the install of Sharepoint WSS finishes it tries to open the admin
interface on the localhost:32537 port. At first I was having authentication
errors doe to the Web application permissions not being right.

i now have it authenticating correctly, but when I try and open the admin
interface the application does not load. the log files don;t tell me much.

has anyone had this experience before?

it appears the localhost is redirecting back to the machine? localhost, as
opposed to the "virtual" localhost that VMware creates.

I reas somewhere on google that mayve the localhost does not have write
permissions on some temp directories and will start digging through the
registry to see if that is an issue>?

should I un-install and start again?
