Hello:
I am creating a new thread as I can no longer find this thread in the
03/05/2009 posts.
Thank you Ben Howard, Rolly Perreaux, and Gary L. Chefetz for all your
responses. Your feedback is always of great help.
In regards to SQL 2008 64-BIT, I was looking for any specific advantages to
WSS or PS. However, performance would definetly be an advantage. I haven't
worked with 2008 yet so I wasn't sure of all the advantages; specific to WSS
& PS or performance related.
I do have a question for Gary though. In your book, "implementing and
administrtering MS PS 2007 2nd edition", page 178 (configuring OLAP Services
for SQL 2005), would this configuration be much different for SQL 2008? Have
you actually tested this deployment? Could you point me to some technet
articles if any?
Also, should I be aware of any "gotchas" around PS deployment in WIN2K8
64-BIT and SQL 2008 64-bit?
Many thanks,
Walid
