A newly added team member is having trouble accessing PWA. He is logging on
using windows authentication, and I have set his permissions to view tasks
and projects in PWA, but he gets an Internet Explorer error message when
trying to log on. Any ideas? Thanks,

More info: He can see the PWA home page, but gets the error when clicking
on the Tasks option...

The user is on the PWA Home page and clicks on the Tasks tab. An IE dialog
box pops up stating
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience.
If you were in the middle of something, the informtion you were working on
might be lost"
There are buttons to debug and/or report the problem to Microsoft.

Sounds like a problem with the ActiveX controls or maybe spyware?

You running SP1 on the server? On the client goto %windir%\Downloaded
Program Files and delete the Project Server ActiveX controls (theres
usually 2 of them, they both start PJ). Restart IE and log back into
PWA, this will reinstall the ActiveX controls.

Do a spyware scan aswell.
