Project server Migration

Arun

Hi,
We are having project server 2003. All the projects are in default
project web access site. We installed project server 2007 and created 5 new
websites for each department like IT, HR etc. Now I want to migrate all the
project in Project Server 2003 to the IT website of project Server 2007. Is
it possiple to do that. How can I do that.

Thanks in advance,
Arun

Yes, it is possible to do that, but looking at the other difficulties
you are having, I really can't emphasize enough that you should
consider having a Microsoft partner with EPM experience help you.

There are instructions available on the web for migration from 2003 to
2007. Search for Project Server 2007 migration and you will find
plenty of materials. There are also courses, such as the EPMU series,
that cover Project Server migration. After migrating the data, you
should make sure to set the new configuration options appropriately,
this includes the new archiving options, the new types of custom
fields and the new OLAP functionality. The settings for these depend
on your environment; they will take consideration of your
organization's needs.
