Project Server - .mtm file extension issue

Hi,
I am having a problem with updates of New Task Requests and New
Assignment Requests. When I try to make the update, everything goes
through as normal. I get the message that says that the updates were
processed and to click on more details to see any errors. I view the
details and it says Unknown Error. Then when I go back to the Project
file to save it the file renames to MSPJ000nn.MTM (nn=an number
incremented each time I try to save. It started at 74, now it is at
95).

Any ideas?

I have seen similar behaviour. Ensure you have publish on save DISABLED.

You can delete the bogus projects using the Project Web Access ->Admin
->cleanup database.

You may find duplicate tasks in resources timesheets. If so you will need
to do standard actions for corrupted projects, found in other posts here.

Thanks for your prompt response. I tried it. But the publish on save
was already disabled. Also, it is not yet creating any duplicate tasks.
The .MTM Projects created are not being saved either.
