Project Server Outlook integration

Hi,

Has anyone seen the situation where Outlook "hangs" when manually o
automatically “Importing New Assignments?” The “Project Seve
Communication” dialog comes up but it never gets to “Connecting wit
Project Server”. This happens randomly, after it’s been working fine
and with many different users. The only recovery is to kill Outlook.

Do you have scheduled assignment import and assignment update setting
set to *Automatic*? if so set them to *Manually Only, *this should hel
with this

Simon - Thanks for the input. Yes, setting to -Manual Only- does help
but does *not* solve the problem. Is this a know problem that we jus
have to live with?

Do you know if COM is used to communicate between Project Central an
Outlook in the 2010 versions? If not, I want to try 2010 and see if thi
works better.
