Project Server Resources - Ad Synch

Hi all,

I have installed MS Project server and applied SP1 and it seems to b
mostly working ok. We've been able to upload and view projects an
tasks etc.

I created a number of groups in AD to correspond with the groups i
Project Server. the synchronisation for Project managers, team member
etc works ok, unless the AD group is empty (in which case Project serve
says failure....also doesn't seem to remove members).

However, under the Admin/Server configuration area, there is anothe
group with which you synchronise resources. I assume this will ad
resources to Project server so that they can then be added to project
using the build team function.
However, it doesn't work. On said screen I get: The Active Director
group failed to synchronize with the Enterprise Resource Pool o

So far, my workaround is to import resources via a project.....but tha
sucks for when we want to open this up to a wider audience. anyone com
across this and know a fix?

Were you running this from the server console? You must.

Isn't there anybody from Microsoft out there that could help us out?
Seems like a few people are having this issue and nobody is helping.
I'd appreciate some help from MS.

Thanks

If you want to contact Microsoft, follow the instructions at the following
page:

http://www.microsoft.com/services/microsoftservices/srv_support.mspx

The newsgroups are maintained by Microsoft for peer-to-peer support.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is aware of the issues with SP2 and is working on
resolutions. We'll let you know when we hear something.

To all of you out there who are having this problem.
I talked to MS, and here's what fixed it for me.

1. Un-install Internet Explorer Enhanced Security

2.Add a DWORD key called NeutralizeNT4Emulator with a hex value of 1 to the
following path in the registry:

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters

3. Re-run the sp2 SQL script

Hope this fixes the problem for all of you.
One would think Microsoft could post this somewhere out there for us...
