Cross-posted from microsoft.public.project.server, issue in which Project Server and SharePoint operate fine independently, but get confused about Intranet vs. Extranet in areas which combine the functionality of both products.
---
I'm also experiencing this issue, but only when entering the system using an extranet address.
Servers:
Intranet Project Server URL: http://MYSERVER/ProjectServer/
Intranet SharePoint URL: http://MYSERVER
Extranet: Replace http://MYSERVER with https://MYDOMAIN:mySSLport
When an extranet user starts browsing from Project Server, everything works fine until they attempt to open an Issue. Then the sub-frame of Project's IssueShell.asp tries to access the Intranet address and fails w/ "server not found".
When an extranet user starts browsing from a SharePoint site (a "project work space" created manually using the Project template), any time they open an Issue they receive the same error as Troy, talking about cross-domain rights (I've checked all the IE settings, which were enabled. Tried changing them to "Prompt", and even then there is no prompt.). Likewise, when saving an Issue the user receives the error about being unable to link to a Task in Project Server.
I'm anxious to receive some input, and will gladly setup a remote session to demonstrate the issues and configuration.
