Project Server should let admin check in an open Project

One of my users had a project open from the Project Server. Her computer
crashed. When she tried to open up the project the next time, it wouldn't
let her because it was already checked out to her. I'm an admin and it
wouldn't let me open it. I had to go into the ProjectServer database and set
it so that it wasn't checked out.

It seems like there should be an easy way to recover from a computer crash.
I looked around Project Help and Microsoft's web site but couldn't find
anything.

There are two ways to correct the situation when a project is "stuck" in
checked out state:

1. The project manager can go to the Project Center page in PWA and click
the "Check in my projects" link in the sidepane
2. The administrator can go to PWA and click Admin - Manage Enterprise
Features - Check in enterprise projects

The steps you took in the SQL Server database also work, but both of the
above methods are much easier and more direct. Hope this helps.
