Project Server Template does not keep Task Font color

M

Marc Soester

Hi guys,

I was wondering if someone has a solution to this.

When you create a template in Project Server and want to amend this template
to show a differnet font color for some tasks (e.g. Phase 1 tasks), you can
amend the color at the task level without any problems - until you save it.
I save the changes to the Project Server template. when I reopen that
template again, the Font colors are all gone. I wonder why??? and I wonder if
someone has an idea on how to update the fontcolor of a template within
Project Server
Thanks for your help

You can't get there from here.<g> You can use a Macro to format a project
within a view.

Hi Gary,

I thought this may interest you. I have found a good workarround.
1. Open the Enterprise Project Template
2. Change the Font Colors
3. Save it as an .mpp file
4. close the mpp file in Project Professional
5. Import the mpp file into Project Server using the import wizard. During
the import save it as a template

This will retain the font colours
Not sure why, but it does work :)

Hi,
it can be good workaround. I have one additional question. I have problems
with point 1 and 3. You are writing that it's necessary to open Enterprise
Project Template. How to do it?
Regards, Jiri
