project server template missing from sharepoint

J

James Allen

In the project server admin, on the page for site provisioning settings,
http://myserver/ProjectServer/Admin/DefaultSTSSettings.asp,
the field to select which template to use "Site template: " is blank
indicating to me the template was either not installed or can't be found and
I'm not sure how to rectify this issue. Because the template is missing, I
cannot create sharepoint sites for the various projects I'd like to publish.
What steps do I need to take to get the template installed? Do I need to
reinstall Project Server, a step I would prefer not to take, or can I just
copy the template, assuming I can find it, to a directory? Thanks for the
help.

James,

I don't have that either.

Make sure "Automatically create a team Web site for the project when a
project is published to Project Server." is selected under "Settings for Web
site creation" section on that page.

For new projects it will automatically create a site. For existing projects
with no team site click "Manage Sharepoint Sites" link on left. Select the
project for which you'd like to create a site. Then hit "Create Site" button.
This will create site with default wss template.

Follow this for steps to create site template.

Hope that will help.
