Project Server vs Oracle Projects

Greg

Hello all,

Does anyone have a comparision, non-biased, between Project Server vs Oracle
Projects? I am trying to pitch Project Server to an Oracle Shop. Even a
biased one I guess would be fine as I am having trouble really finding
anything useful.

Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,
If you are pitching to an Oracle shop, then you are already facing an uphill
battle. How about Oracle needs a front end client to work (project,
primevara or artemis), so if they are already using MSP2007, that might be a
way in. I think they focus on Resource Management, and can only do top down
project planning, so again, depending on the business issues, these could be
important. Add complexity (11 modules I think) and cost and you have some of
the cons.

I'd look at what the business is trying to solve, and when I pitch EPM, I
talk about ease of use, collaboration and resource management in no
particular order. Good luck, and get MS involved if you can, they should be
interested in a competitive situation.
