We installed Project Server last week, and just about everything is
running, except getting Project to handle things such as Risks and
Issues. Up until Firday, we had Sharepoint error messages listed
under Risks & Issues on a user's Web Access front page, but now we
have access to Public Documents via Web Access.
Now under Home, it says "You have no active risks assigned to you,"
but when I select a project under Risks or Issues, I get the following
error:
The documents, risks and issues features in Project Web Access use
Windows SharePoint Services.
A Windows SharePoint Services site needs to be created for your
project before you can share project documents or track project risks
and issues. Site creation takes a few minutes, so if the project was
just published, wait a few minutes and then visit the page again.
Otherwise, contact your server administrator.
Now, when I click documents (http://server/projectserver/Library/) and
choose Public Documents, I can view, upload, etc.documents in
http://server/sites/MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments/Shared Documents/
.... but I still cannot access Sharepoint capabilities for uploaded
projects.
Included paths for Sharepoint are "sites" and "project" ... excluded
sites are "uddi" "uddipublic" "msadc" and "projectserver" - the last
of the list being the Project Server Web Access directory, which
Project Professional connects to in order to import to Project Server.
I'll continue plugging away at this, but if anyone has any advice that
would be super helpful. Thanks;
