Project Server Windows Account Lockout

For our Project Server/SharePoint installation, we use a domain account (as
specified by the install docs) for database access. For some reason, this
domain account periodically locks out. And by periodically, I mean it
happens two or three times a day. Our domain policy is pretty standard: 3
failed attempts and the account locks. Also, this account is set to
"password never changes". We've run through all the obvious scenarios like
changed password, someone trying to crack the password, etc. The Sysadmin
can't seem to find anything in the domain controller security logs that would
shed light on the problem. So I'm thinking that possibly, the ProjectServer
components could be the culprit. Does anyone know of a way to track down
this account lock out problem (other than the domain controller security
logs) or has anyone else even had this problem? Oh, one more thing. We had
this issue regularly about 4 or 5 months ago then it stopped. In the last
week, it's been back with a vengeance. I'd appreciate help or suggestions!

Rodney:

Can you relate the starting and stopping of this problem to any security
policy changes on the network?

I'd have to talk to the admins to find that out. It's possible that our
domain policies are affecting the account. One of our admins indicated that
there have been some regular user accounts that have locked and they haven't
been able to track down why.

It's possible, that's why I ask.
