Project Server with Install Now (MSDE) option install problem -- does not allow me to log back in

Before going the SQL Server route, I am trying to first install Project
Server 2002 with the "Install Now" option to test out the main
functionality. I thought it would be simpler.

During install it asks you to set up MSDE SA password, which I did.

When you reboot, the only items under Start --> Programs --> Microsoft
Project Server are
- Install Guide
- Configure Microsoft Project Server

Launching "Microsoft Project Server" takes you to the MS Project Web Access
login page

However, it does not recognize my Windows Server username/PW or the MDSE SA
one. The error is: "You have entered an incorrect user name/password
combination. (5002)"

However the only account info asked during install was the MSDE SA password.

Can anyone tell me which user name/password it wants. I have looked at the
Install Guide, the Project Server Lesson 1 (which talks about this install
option), and the Knowledge Base, with no answer to this.

The only other applications installed on this server are Office 2000,
Project 2002 standard.
