Project Server working with SQL Server 2000 SP 4

Has anyone been able to get Project Server 2003 to work with SQL Server that
has SQL SP 4 applied to it?

I believe that the issue is installation. Install using SP3a, then update to
SP4. Note: I'm basing this on what others have told me.

I'll add one more comment. There's a known bug with sql SP4 which affects
installations using more than 2gig of RAM.
