Project should have an colour coding option for task status

My work community prefer a report of project progress in the format of a RAG
(Red-Amber-Green) status. I currently have to copy and paste in into Excel
to do this and have set up a macro to automate the process as much as
possible. I know a lot of IT professionals who use this format and get great
customer feedback and therefore I think it would be beneficial to have an
option in Project to publish a RAG report rather than having to export to
Excel. (I would be happy to send my example if it helps)

Hi,

1. The only way to use a number of Text Colours is through a VBA macro
2. Background colors are not available.

www.mvps.org/project FAQ #31 for some ideas about customizing Gantt bars
based upon the flag fields.

If you would like to see Graphic indicators for RAG status as part of a
table see Mike Glen's article at:

His example uses graphic indicators for cost but you can modify the custom
field to show variance for the Start or Finish fields.
