Project Standard on Server?

Mark Vandenberk

Are you able to install a copy of Project Standard on a
server and allow one person at a time to run the program
from the server?

If you buy a copy of Project Server, that has 5 licenses,
but you have to install a copy of Project Professional on
each of the 5 desktops correct?

Where I am heading with my questions is that the company
that I work for would like 1 copy of Project. Multiple
people would to have access to it but not at the same
time. Would it be best to install on a laptop or is there
a way to install in a central location and allow access
over network?

Hi,

Project Server comes with 5 CALS for accessing Project Server information
(using IE 5+). Only people scheduling projects need Project Professional.

If you don't want to install Project on each PC then you can use terminal
services. You still need a license for each user. Confirm this with your
local Microsoft sales office.
