Project start date not working. Why?

Under Project, I select Project Information, then set the start date to
2/1/09. However, when I print the project Gantt chart, it prints starting at
1/1/07.

Why is it so darn difficult for MS Project to just do what I tell it to do?

How do I get my project to show the first column of my printed Gantt chart
to be February 2009.

Hello Ed,

Check your date settings in the File > Print command. It sounds as
though you have 1/1/07 entered in there.
