Project status as of a specific date

Hi,
I need to prepare a monthly report, which will reflect the status of
my project as of the beginning of the month, but since that date I
already updated some actual progress values.
Is it possible to choose a date so Project will show me what was the
actual work/remaining work/cost up until that date? In other words,
to exclude all actual updates that were made since that day?

I have tried to move the status/current date to the beginning of the
month but it didn't change anything in the work/remaining work fields.

Thanks for any help.
Gil.

Gil,
Here's a real simple approach. Assuming your file is not a master file
with inserted subprojects or external links, use Save As at the end of
each month to capture the current plan. Then use that plan for the
report.

Once you have updated with actual progress you will not be able to
"cancel" that information by simply changing the status date. You could
use timescaled data, (cumulative to the end of the month), in either the
Resource or Task Usage views but getting the report you want would
probably not be very convenient.

Hope this helps.
