Project Status Reports

Dan

Is there a way to archive status reports so they are
still accessible in Project Server but members no longer
need to submit? I have all PM submit status reports and
when the project is over would like to keep the reports
for a period of time. This only option I see is to bump
out the due date for 1 year. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dan

Yes, it is possible to archive Status Reports, but you must do this
manually. Here's how:

1. Log into PWA and click the Status Reports menu
2. Click the View status report responses from your team members link in
the sidepane
3. Click the Team Status Report icon for the date period you wish to
archive
4. Click the Zoom button
5. In the new Internet Explorer window, click File - Save As...
6. Click the Save as type pick list and select the "Web Page, HTML only"
format
7. Select the folder in which to save the resulting Web page and then click
Save
8. Close the Internet Explorer window to return to the Status Report page
9. Repeat these steps for each Status Report period you wish to archive

Once you have completed the above steps, you can upload the combined Status
Reports in HTML format to any document library in Project Server. In fact,
if the Status Reports are not related to a specific project, you might
upload them to the Public Documents library. Just a thought. Hope this
helps.
