Project STD 2003 hangs opening files from web browsers (IE6, FireF

I have installed Proj 2003. I locate a file on my local intranet site (w/
SSL enabled) and try to launch the application. My machine then runs the
winproj.exe (Seen from task manager), but I do not see the Project Splash
screen nor the the project file open. The machine then becomes unstable.

If I do the same with the execption of using Proj 2000, all is well. Any
assistance would be appreciated
