project summary task ("Line 0")

Default views in Project Server do not default to show the project summary
task. I realize that you can go to Settings-View Options to show the summary
task, but that's at the indivudual user level, correct? I want the default
views to show line 0 for projects by default for all users. And in Manage
Views in the admin pages, I don't see a way to check an option for that.

I must be missing an easy step, because it would seem to be obvious that
users need to be able to see line 0 by default. That's where you see the
earned value rollups and other project-level information.

OK that's for the fat client, which I understand and indeed use. But I'm
talking about the PWA view in Project Center, or any Project Details web part
on a Sharepoint page. There is a view option in the "toolbar" for the
individual viewer, but I don't think there's any way to change a setting in
Server so that the view shows line 0 by default - at least that's what I am
trying to get it to do.

Sorry Brian, I must have been speed reading.<g> This setting is held
per-user, if the user selects the option for the view, then it will display
that way until the user deselects the option. Alas, there is no option to
always show these in project detail views and I believe this is by design
because it adds a significant load time to the page under two conditions: 1)
large projects, 2) systems with many task-level custom fields. It can be a
page load killer when both are true.
