project synchronization

I'm searching software that manages project (like visio or rational rose)
that implemented a "data synchronization". That is, a manner for binding
changes between different fields in a database or field in a datagram
project when i make this changement.
E.g. if i'm designing a new database and i would make changes on a ER's
field the change bind on the other different project that uses the same
field. Well, i suppose that are many user's interface for the project.

If you know -it sufficies only a referement or a link if you don't
rememember "how to make it"- please post here.

sorry, not my area of expertise. Since I believe rational rose may have been
purchased (I think by ibm) you might check their site.
