Project to Visio

Is it possible to create a simple plan in project using a basic work
breakdown structure and then export it to Visio such that Vision can create a
Product Breakdown Structure chart automatically from the Project data? I
have Project 2000 and Visio 2000

Hi Scott,

Microsoft provides a free add-in for MS Project 2002 which creates a Visio
WBS structure from the Project task list:

Renke mentioned the WBS addin, Visio can also import task data from Project
and generate Gantt charts and Timelines as well. Unfortunately the Visio
macro that does the import is broken in Visio 2000 as shipped and I've never
seen it working. Upgrading to Visio 2002 or later is the fix.

[Project user]

The Visio WBS chart wizard works beautifully in Project 2003 and Visio 2003
but I would like to export not only the task information to Visio but also
the resource assignments so that each box on the WBS contains both the task
info and the resource assigned to a task; any ideas how this could be done.
