Project update by Administrator

Dear All,

We are using EPM 2003.

When I logged on to server as "Administrator" and update a project,
published by some other Manager, to 100% complete. Post this the webaccess
shows project's staus as complete, even tracking table (in MS Project) shows
the same. The problem is with timesheets of resources where it does show the
"Actual Start" and "Actual Finish" Dates but "%Work Complete" shows 0%.

Also values of Remaining work for that assignment in Web table also has a
non-zero value.

Post this I logged on to server (MS Project) using Proj Manager's ID and
republished all assignments as 100% complete but no changes anywhere.

Can't Admin update project's status? Why its not happening if I log on as PM
and update it (post update by admin)?

BTW: Other projects which I haven't touched are working fine.

Any clues/ suggestions?
Regards,
Sumit

When you manually enter progress in the Microsoft Project plan, you must
click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments and then select the
"Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option in the Republish
Assignments dialog. Doing so will "push" the actuals you entered in the
plan to each team member's timesheet in PWA. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the kind compliment! :) I'm not a genius. I just know the most
common problems with using Project Server and the solutions to those
problems. Now you know one of the solutions, too.
