Project version other than Published

I want to enter a project into the database that is there for rough planning
of future resource availability, so I don't want it to appear on people's
timesheets. Will this work if I create the project and don't publish the
assignments? Are there other project versions available? (When I do Save As I
have a drop down box by Version with Published in it and no other options -
this suggests there should be other options).

If you wish to save your project as another Version, your Project Server
administrator must create the types of Versions which would be available to
all project managers in the system. Otherwise, you can create your project
and save it as the .Published version. Do not click Collaborate - Publish -
All Information or Collaborate - Publish - New and Changed Assignments until
you are ready for team members to see their project tasks in their timesheet
in PWA.
