Project versions not available in security Category definition

We are using the version concept in our Project Server 2003 environment. We
are using "Planned" and "Published" version. Each project version has a
unique Project ID. They are visible into the Project Center as two different
projects.

This feature will enable us to compare project AAA.Published vs AAA.Planned,
to view these version in the Project Center, and also view these projects in
the PortFolio Analyzer.

We want to limit to the PMO the Open/Save of the "Planned" version. We try
to define a new security category for this purpose, but these project version
are not listed into the area "Only the selected projects...". Is there a
reason?

The alternate .Planned version of each project is considered like a "subset"
of the original .Published version of the project. For example, you cannot
delete the .Published version of a project until you delete the .Planned
version first. Because the alternate .Planned version is like a "subset" of
the original .Published project, you cannot prevent the PM of the .Published
version from seeing the .Planned version as well. Therefore, I would
suggest that you simply make this a training and performance issue with your
PM's. Hope this helps.
