Project Versions

Hi

I have a query regarding project versions. I want to publish a forcast
project or future/Proposed project. I want this project to be
versioned as Proposed (new version created by me in pwa-admin). I read
from the previous posts that i have to first publish the project as
Published version and then save it again as my required version and
then publish again. My Questions are below

1. Will proposed version assignments effect my resources in other
projects.
2. Can i use proposed version in Portfolio Analyzer/modeler
3. Why not project server just let me publish the project with version
other than published (without publishing).

3. You must save the project as the .Published version, then click File -
Save As and save it as the Proposed version. That's just the way the system
works.
