Project View Renegade

I have a user whose project keeps opening up with a split window view with
Resource Usage on top, and Gantt Chart on the bottom.

She wants it to simply open in the Gantt Chart view.

We have tried saving it and publishing it after setting it up the way she
wants. It appears to open with the right view, and then jumps to the split
window immediately.

I've checked for macros that might cause this behavior and there are none.

Ideas?????

More data:
After looking at each view individually, I found one that seems to be the
culprit:
Project Guide: Resource Allocation
Top: Resource Usage
Bottom: Gantt Chart

I'm checking out the "Project Guide" element to see what that might mean.

I feel like I'm talking to myself, but apparently it's working. After an
hour of struggling with this I've solved it.

Apparently the user was playing around with the Project Guide toolbar and
clicked a line item to "see how resources time is allocated". It seems this
created a new view and slapped it over the view the file was last saved with.
I removed the view by clicking on "Reports" in the Project Guide toolbar
menu called "Next steps and related activities". This removed the checkmark
from the "see how resources time is allocated" line item.

After that, I took the bigger step of going into Organizer and deleting the
"Project Guide: Resource Allocation" view from the project.

Thanks!
