Project viewing access in PWA

A

Andy

I have people who are interested in viewing projects in PWA but they are not
resources assigned to any tasks. Is there a way to set up a users account to
let them see projects that they are not resources on with out giving them a
lot of privileges?

Thanks,
Andy

Yes. I assume these people are executives or senior managers of some type
who do not use Microsoft Project. If this is the case, you could do the
following:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Manage users and groups link
4. Click the Add user button
5. Select the Authenticate user by option for your environment, and then
enter the necessary information about the user
6. In the Groups section, add the new user to the Executives group
7. Click the Save Changes button
8. Repeat steps 4-7 for each user you wish to add

The above steps will allow each of these new users to see all projects in
the Project Server database. Hope this helps.
