"Project Web Access cannot connect to Project Server" when ViewAssignments selected

For the first time I've noticed that after I select all the Resources
in Resource Center, then click the "View Assignments" button, I
receive the following error:

"Project Web Access cannot connect to Project Server. For more
information, contact your System Administrator".

I do not receive this when clicking the View Availability button.


Any ideas? We are on the post-SP1 infrastructure hotfix (the latest
from Microsoft).

You're never gonna believe this but upon further investigation, this
error only takes place when one particular Resource is selected from
the list. When everyone else but this resource is selected, no
error. Once this resource in question is checked in addition to the
others, the error occurs. Likewise, if this resource only is selected
from the Resource Center, the error occurs (when View Assignments is
selected).

Should I just delete the resource and re-create? This individual has
not been assigned any tasks as of yet.

I am currently experiencing the same issue but with most of my resources.
Any idea of what could be the reason of this error ? Is the resource
deletion the only soultion ?

We find how to reproduce this bug :
Select a resource with existing assignments and click on "view assignments"
Set up your "ressource assignment" view as follow (Settings>View options)
Return to the Resource Center and select a resource with no existing
assignment.
You will get the error message :

"Project Web Access cannot connect to Project Server ...".

Does anybody know if Microsoft has a hotfix for this issue ?
