project web access cannot connect to project server

Hi,
I have a team member trying to import their timesheet and they are getting
"project web access cannot connect to project server because connection time
out". I asked them to repair PWA and also log into another computer but she's
still getting that error message. Do you have any ideas what may be causing
this?

Thanks,

Hi Marc,
It is 2 users and it's on the same task. Would that have anything to do with
it?

Thanks,

Barbara, if this only happens to 2 users and the rest of the users can access
PWA fine, then I dont htink that PWA is broken. Can you please let me know
exactly what your users try to do. ( step by step )
e.g. 1. open browser / 2. navigate to PWA ......
Lets see if we can resolve this one :)

Hi Marc,
They save and submit their timesheet, click on my tasks, click on import
timesheet, verify the correct week is highlighted, click on import and then
they receive the 'pwa cannot connect to server' error message. It almost acts
like it times out on them.

Hello Barbara,

To me it is known that when resources have reported time on project level in
their timesheet the import action into My tasks will results in an error.
Please verify if they have reported time on a task that has no subtasks. Also
errors during importing a timesheet may occur in if the task was added to the
timesheet by using Add lines and the "Line classification is different from
"Standard". Maybe that helps."

Marcel.

Hi,
Thank you for your help. Actually, I asked one of the users to delete their
timesheet, open it back up, delete the task, re-add the task, re-submit the
timesheet and re-import. That seemed to work. I really appreciate all of your
help.

Thanks,
