Project Web Access Data Grid Errors

I am having and issue with a few computers having errors when using pwa. The
problem only occurs on pages where there is a grid. We came across the
following article in the knowledge base Article ID : 832588. I don't feel
comfortable with the first option which is to change server settings. I
don't have a global issue. I also don't feel that the second solution is
correct for us either because we have all of the port information locked down
for individuals. The other twist in this is that these two machines worked
for a period of time but then broke. Any Suggestions?

This probably happened because something changed on the users browser, like a new toolbar was installed. Or they started using the discussion toolbar. Both of these have been known to cause browser crashes. I suppose it's feasible that they could also cause problems with a specific ActiveX control, like the MSProjectGrid.
