Project Web Access : Resource availablity not getting updated.

Mathew

Our project server environment is as follows :
Project Server 2003 with sp1
Project professional 2002 with sp1
all the client machines are updated with MDAC 2.8
Database : SQL 2000 Server with SP3a updated.

I see that the Resource availablity info is not getting updated in
Project Web access. I re-published the projects , and still no luck.

Also some projects does not show at all in the Resouce availblity
Legend ,inspite of publishing and re-publishing the assignments .

I also set the Correct date range in Project Web Access while updating
the Resource availablity info from Project Web Access, but still no
luck.

All the Resources we use are Enterprise Global Resources , and they
are setup with RBS.

Please help.

Thanks

Mathew

When you say:
I also set the Correct date range in Project Web Access while updating
the Resource availability info from Project Web Access, but still no
luck.

Did you set this under Admin > Manage Enterprise Features? If so, did you
click update now? If not are you certain that you set the cube to build and
resource availability information to refresh periodically?

Yes ,I did that already. Tried it for different date Ranges, and ran
the update updated. We have been using it for almost one year .We had
scheduled updates every day, and it used to show the correct resource
avaliblity info . It used to work with project server 2002 and project
professional 2002 . Then we upgraded to project server 2003, and
professional service pack 1 .I recently noticed that the project
availiblity info stopped getting updates . I even installed SP1 of
project server 2003 , and checked it it works again , still no luck.

No errors in the application event log? Could it be data corruption? Can you
extend an additional site and see if it works on a simple database? This
will let us know if its a mechanical problem or a peculiarity in the
database.

Hi Gary,

Does it mean Install project server on a test environment with a new
database , create resources ,and then try to do a publishing , and
then check resource availablity ? Please clarify.

"Could it be data corruption? "

Are there any MS project tools available , which will allow me the
check the integrity of MSProject Database ?

Thanks ,
