Project Web Access Template Problem

Greetings!

I am having a problem with the Sharepoint services integration
with project server. Everything is running on the same server, and I have
the company's SharePoint site at http://servername/sites, and I can access
the project web access at http://servername/projectserver

This is Windows Server 2003, running SharePoint
services with SP1, and KB887981. Project Server 2003 w/SP1

In the Project web access, on the connect to SharePoint server,
I put the central admin site, which works, and I enter
http://servername/sites in the "Create site under this SharePoint url". Then
hit save changes. I then receive a popup which reads "There are no site
templates installed on the specified server running windows SharePoint
services. Verify that the web server is properly extended with Windows
SharePoint services."

I tried running the WSSWiz app from the project cd, and when I
select the virtual server to create project sites on, and when I click next
I receive a popup titled "SharePoint Configuration Wizard" with the error
"An unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.
Click Continue and application will ignore this error and attempt to
continue. Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter
name: '0' is not a valid value for 'value'."

Pressing continue closes the error and returns me to the screen
where the server is selected.

Running WSSWIZ -f runs fine, no errors, but I still receive the
same "There are no site templates installed on the specified server" error,
even after restart.

Any help getting the templates set up, and linking project server to it is
appreciated.

Thank you,

Mike Scott
