Project Workspace User List doesn't Match PWA Resource List

There is a user that I set up in PWA but misspelled her name, I
corrected the mistake and all is well on the PWA site, but on the
Project Workspace site for the project she is part of, it only gives
the misspelled option of her name.

I tried browsing for the correct name and it finds the correct name,
but when I assign the permission level for that user and hit save, it
shows the misspelled version of the name in the list for the site.

How can I fix this without recreating the Project Workspace site?

Have you tried re-publishing the project ?

Unfortunately, the synch process does not pickup name changes. You need to
change it directly in SharePoint.
