Projects do not get Published

To All,

My issues is that when the project managers or anybody else modifies the
metadata for a project using the edit enterprise custom fields button in PWA
the project does not actually get published. In order for that project to
get published it has to be actually opened through MS Project, saved and then
closed. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. Does this have to run on the server or can a client machine use
this tool? Can you automate this to run every night for example?

You can run this from any machine, however if you're going to automate it as
a nightly job, I suggest you run it at the server.

I have 2 questions:

1) Why does View Populator not work for me. I'm using PDS to add tasks to
several project plans. I then use View Populator to republish those plans
which it tells me it did successfully. However, I can't see the new tasks in
PWA until I go into Project client and republish. Is there something I'm
doing wrong? Isn't this what the tool is designed to do. (OK, so this is
really several questions).

2) You mention below that you can set up a regular job to run View
Populator. Assuming I can get #1 resolved, I'd like to do this in a schedule
job so that I don't have to do it myself everytime there are new tasks added.
Is there a command like interface that is not published? Or is there some
other way you can run this as a scheduled task?

Thanks,
Kevin
