promoted property, double column...

Eric

Hello to you all,

I have a issue I hope you can help me with. We have been using the form
server version of a template for a year now. For multiple reasons we have to
go to the full InfoPath client. In my development environment all goes well.
But in my test environment I suddenly have got double column names in my
library. Also it seems like IP doesn't fill in the promoted property's, but
this is because IP fill's in the second one.

Well, just delete the second column and address the first in IP. Nope... I
can't delete the column's..

Did anyone ever see this behavior? Please help....

Tnx in advance,
Eric van der Niet

Hey Eric,
Your issue sounds little strange it sounds like IPFS has got a little
confused with your templates e.g the form library is referencing 2 separate
versions of the template both promoting the same properties,
My suggestion would be to create a new Form Library in your test environment
and publish your updated template to this library and see if the double
columns still appear.

Hope this helps
Cheers,
Ben Walters

Hi,

I think below issue is also one reason to display duplicate value in the
promoted column.
By default SharePoint will add some promoted columns. I think your field is
already there in SharePoint promoted property.
Verify that which field is not promoting in the SharePoint and uncheck that
field in the SharePoint to not display the duplicated fields in promoted
column.

TNX both for your reply,

Its becoming a mess! Double site colums, double list colums! Cannot delete
them because the are in use by a content type. can't delete the content type
because documents are using it. Is there a way to clean up the mess and so
that the old columns stay filled en the new columns becomme filled?? thanx
for the help in advance...

Eric
