promotion & demotion formatting errors

Recently I installed the trial version and spent time today converting my
class outlines/notes from Word to OneNote. Reorganizing them, as well.
When I have pasted a large amount of text from Word into the middle an
existing OneNote file, and rearrange the file. As I promoted and demoted
items I pasted, OneNote would not correctly change the bullet and would not
tab the item to line up evenly with new text I had entered in above it. I
could remove ALL formatting from the OneNote file and reenter the formatting
from scratch, but do not want to do that. How can I fix this?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Drew,

You don't specify which bulleting/numbering system that you use. Can
you clarify?

What did you expect to see that you would have considered as
"correctly changing" the bullets? The + and - of Word outlines?

I have created or edited many bulleted lists in OneNote and haven't,
as far as I recall, seen a misalignment problem.

Can you describe it in more detail so that we can better understand
what you are seeing?

Thanks

In the outline view, is there any way
1. to adjust where the tabs for each level go -- they seem stuck at a
predetermined places.
2. Is there a way to let the tabs be overlapping -- it seems as if the tabs
are acting like columns.
Thanks
Steve
