prompt for credentials

We are running Outlook 2002 (xp) connected to exchange 2003.

The users log into a 2003 AD Domain

How can I force the users to be prompted for a password.

I would like to automate this using either registry setting, PRF, GPO or to
set it at the exchange server. I have about 3000 clients

Thanks

If your users log into an AD domain, shouldn't Outlook open dependent upon NT
authentication? Do you also want Outlook to prompt them for the same
credentials again?

Thanks for your response,

Some of the workstations are left logged on and used by several different
people. some of the mailboxes that they access contain sensitive data and
they therefor need to be prompted for a password.

I can achieve this by going into more settings and selecting "None" in the
"Logon Network Security" drop down.

I need to be able to make that setting using a prf file or registry change
or a GPo

So you have many people using Outlook with multiple profiles but using only
one network logon?

In essence yes, I know it sounds unorthodox but our client has sound business
reasons to operate this way.

Actually it makes perfect sense to me. I have many users I've set up the same
way, but I haven't had so many that I've had to automate it. It saves on
desktops, especially in a manufacturing environment where budgets and space
are tight.

You may want to check the Exchange Admin newsgroup:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/default.mspx

You'd likely get a more expert opinion on this task than asking at the
Outlook level.

Good luck and if you get a good answer that works, please let me know.
