Prompts

I am looking for prompts kind of like what you get when you work in excel.
When you leave an excel field you get a windows prompt. I know that widows
has the same view code tab on there sheets, but do not know how to make it
work as there is no cell references. This is a text field that i have to type
into. If anyone can help that would be great.

I'm afraid you've most likely had no replies as yet because what you are
asking may very well be as unclear to everyone else as it is to me. Take a
deep breath, let it out slowly, & provide some cogent facts about what it is
that is giving you a problem. We don't even know for sure what program
you're using or whether you're even on a Mac (this is a Mac Word newsgroup).

We need to know:

1- What specific version of operating system,
2- What specific version of Word,
3- What you mean by "prompts"... Merely typing data into a cell & pressing
enter doesn't normally generate any type of prompt - PC or Mac Excel,
4- What do you mean by "text field" - how was it created?,
5- Accurately describe what you are trying to do, how you are going about
it, and what is/is *not* happening as you would expect.

Pretend we're not looking over your shoulder... Because we're *not*:)

Hi Bob:

We could guess that he's working in the VBE Editor playing with a userform.
But without the information you asked for, his question is still meaningless
character salad :)

Cheers
