Pronblem with wmv movie

I posted the question on Sunday, but I cannot find it anywhare and I didn't
get any answer: I have problems wth a wmv movie.
I have a presentation with a movie on each slide. One slide is always
cousing a problem; the movie stops just before the end crushing the
presentation or even when it plays whole, you cannot move to the next slide
it freezes the PowerPoint.
We were testing the presentation on different computers. I have Windows X
and PowerPoint 2007 (I have changed into MWP 10 version to make sure version
11 is not a problem), some people have Windows X and PowerPoint 2003. The
presentation plays OK for those with PowerPoint 2003. I thought that the bit
rate, this movie had higher one than the previous one, cause the problem, but
the movies were reworked and the problem is still there. I removed all
animation from the slide and re-built it and it was working fine till I did a
next change on it.
Could anybody have an idea how to solve this? The presentation is going to
be pushed on tousand people's desctop...PLease help, you always did! Thank
you.

I wander is the slide causing the problem or the movie?
Try to insert the movie on an other slide abnd suppress the former slide.
Does it works or not? If not we may suppose that the movie has something
wrong

This is what I did: new created slide with movie is working. I create
additional slide with the movie added the images and the animation it worked,
but after saving it as a show it freezed again

I'm trying different things here. Why the slide would be a problem?

I took the graphic from one slide, and put it in 12 times with each
different video and it played all the way through with any of the .wmv
productions on the type of system that is failing.

Why it is only in version 2003?

First, what are you using to create the WMV file? Many applications embed
additional information in the file that can create problems when played in
PowerPoint.

Austin,

Could I send you a slide to take a look; I think I know where the problem
is, just don't understand how this could happend. Actually, I've realized,
that there is too much of text animations. when I simplyfied it, it was
working for a couple of times, then the problem accured again. I decided to
keep animation to minimum then I found one image which was corupted - it was
beveled with changed shape - I could not group it with other elements. I
inserted a new image, and this fixed the presentation all together. I would
like you to take a look at the slide. Thank you,

Im having the SAME problem!! I insereted a wmv into ppt2007 and it worked. I
took it home, and it worked in ppt2003. I worked on it at home and when I
came back to work today it didnt work. I removed it and reinserted the same
video/wmv but it still locks up and I have no choice but to ctrl-alt-del to
get out of it. PLEASE HELP!

As I tried to explain, many third party applications create WMV files that
do not really meet the requirements.
